The Review: Eleanor Bader.
The Illustration: The title of the book made me think of 'From Here to Eternity' and the iconic, now cliché scene where Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr are frenching in the surf.

So The Indy asked me do another center spread. This time for their all-Obama issue. They asked me to come up with an illo addressing 5 challenges BO will have to tackle..or..bust, if you will. Here's what I came up with.

Here's another little number. I know its Friday and everything should be happy, but sometimes its good to think about those who are less fortunate than we are. It puts everything into perspective. Life may be rough, but at least I have hands and can play catch. Sorry Kiwi. Sorry Ghostboy. One word: prosthetics.

Map To Paradise

For a while now I've been the production designer for Studio Rêver Motion Picture Company. Our most recent venture is Couchgarden. A Delteologist (postcard collector) searches for the missing cards to complete the set he believes to be a map to paradise on Earth. I created eight real cards, front and back, for the film. I was up in Seattle right after New Years and got to see this guy do some live digital painting. He's basically nasty. And this is how he really dresses. He jumped up on stage at one point and modeled for a bit. Here's what I came up with.

PARTY WOLF IS A BAND. PARTY WOLF CAN NOT BE STOPPED. EVEN BY THE LAW OR BY NATURE. OR THE TWO COMBINED. ULTIMATE WARRIOR LOST IN A FIGHT WITH PARTY WOLF. THE ONLY WAY TO BEAT HIM IS TO PARTY HARDER THAN HE DOES. AND THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Check them out on myspace.

ASTROMAKEOUT!

By the year 2020 our fine administration plans to return to the moon with the intent of creating a MOONBASE. This is probably very awesome. It makes me wonder A: What does the inside of a space helmet taste like? B: Will Barry Bonds get to go to the moon? He could probably hit himself there. Right now. Its COLD in space Barry, wear your jacket.
